‘Damascus Time’ appears on silver screen in Iran

‘Damascus Time’ has been premiered in Iranian cinemas.

‘Damascus Time’ has been premiered in Iranian cinemas.

Directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia, the award-winning movie is currently on the silver screen in Tehran and other Iranian cities.

25 cinemas in Tehran are currently hosting the film produced by Mohammad Khazaee.

The film was praised at the latest edition of Fajr Film Festival in Iran with three awards, including Crystal Simorgh for Best Director.

Ebrahim Hatamikia’s ‘Damascus Time’ (formerly known as ‘In the Levant Time’) had international premiere at the Berlinale film market in February.

The film focuses on security threat by terrorists when an Iranian plane, conveying humanitarian aid to Syria, is challenged at Damascus Airport.

Popular Iranian actors such as Babak Hamidiyan and Hadi Hejazifar as well as a number of actors from Syria and Lebanon star in the movie.
